WE ARE GLE!

Cartoon blue owl wearing glasses and yellow sneakers with a "G" necklace.

We’re Emili & Danae, two language nerds, part-time philosophers, full-time fun-makers, and your guides to all things Greek.
We created Greek Language Experts (or GLE, if you’re cool) to teach real Greek the real way: through laughter, music, memes, and actual spanakopita cravings. We don’t just teach you grammar (but yes, we do love a good passive tense). Our mascot, Glee the owl? She’s been there, done that, and probably corrected your pronunciation with a wink.
If you’re looking for a community, a vibe, and the Greek version of "Duolingo, but with soul", welcome to the party.

Let’s get Greeky.

Meet the Team

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.

  • CO - FOUNDER (Teacher)

Hi! I’m Danai Siaylou, co-founder of Greek Language Experts. With a background in Management and a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification, I never expected to become a teacher but here I am, loving every minute of it!

What started as a life shift during quarantine became a true passion: giving, sharing, and helping others grow. When Emily shared her idea about creating an online space for learning Greek anytime, anywhere, I jumped right in.

Now I get to teach, connect with amazing people, and spread the joy of the Greek language all from the heart. Ready to join us?

  • CO - FOUNDER (Teacher)

Hi! I’m Emily Intzekostas, co-founder of Greek Language Experts and passionate teacher of Greek as a second language. I hold a BA in Education from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MA in Special Education from NYC where I’ve been living and teaching since 2018.

I’m dual certified in SPED and Greek language instruction, and I’ve been working with high school students and adult learners from around the world. Teaching is my thing especially when it involves helping people speak my native language (and making it fun along the way!).

Whether you're in New York or anywhere else, I believe you can learn Greek from wherever you are and actually enjoy it. Can't wait to meet you in our first lesson!

  • Teacher & Social Media Manager

Hello everyone! My name is Giannis and I am from Thessaloniki, Greece. I graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with an Education major and later on I decided to get a diploma on Social Media! I was amazed by the possibilities and the creativity this field brings and when Emily & Danai told me about their business I immediately agreed on taking over the GLE social media profiles. A few months later I started teaching group classes and it quickly became my new passion! I love meeting new people from all over the world and seeing their passion of learning the Greek language! I am happy to meet all of you and looking forward to seeing you soon in one of our classes and who knows you might be featured on social media as well :)

Hello everyone! My name is Eleni Antoniadou. I am from Thessaloniki, and for the past few years, I have been living permanently in Chania, Crete. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Macedonia in Educational and Social Policy, specialized in Special Education. For the past six years, I have been working as a special education teacher at an elementary school, and I am also the coordinator of educational projects at the Greek NGO “Ecogenia.” It has always been my dream to work in education, and I have realized how fulfilling it is to offer, create, and make learning enjoyable for children. As a new member of GLE, when I was offered the opportunity, I found it to be a very attractive chance to meet people from different parts of the world, share my love for my native language, and interact with adult learners this time! I look forward to meeting all of you and embarking on this exciting journey together!
